Congratulations to the Michigan City High School Art Department, which took first place in the chalk art competition at the “Hooked on Art Live Street Art Festival” in Chesterton on Saturday, September 24. Our high school’s winning artists were Ashley Hellums and Alexis Reynolds. These students received $400 cash and $500 in art supplies from Dick Blick.
Proceeds from the festival supported Frontline Foundations, Inc. – a substance abuse treatment provider in Chesterton and LaPorte.
Way to go, Ashley and Alexis - and special thanks to MCHS art teacher Deanna Ehrhardt for her work with these student artists (and for sharing these great photos!!).
