Welcome to the wonderful world of Kindergarten!  I am excited to be your child's teacher.  Kindergarten has changed over the last several years.  What you may remember as a time to socialize and learn some basic skills has now moved in the direction of a rigorous curriculum.  Kindergarten students will find themselves engaged in what they may describe as "play".  While engaged in "play" your child will be on their way to learning math skills and concepts, writing in a variety of ways, and reading.  You will be amazed at how much your child will grow both socially and academically during their first formal year of schooling.
