We learn skills needed which are based on the Indiana standards to get ready to go to second grade. Your support at home is critical to your child's success in first grade. Meet the TeacherHello! I am Mrs. Jen Buchanan. I have been teaching at Edgewood School for 19 years. I have taught in the Michigan City Area Schools for 28 years. I attended Purdue University to obtain my Bachelor's Degree and graduated in 1992. I decided after teaching a few years to pursue my Master's Degree in Elementary Curriculum at Purdue North Central. I have two children who also attend Purdue University. I am excited to be working in Michigan City Area Schools and have passion for teaching the leaders of tomorrow.
