• What is National Junior Honor Society?

The National Junior Honor Society is the leader among organizations and societies that promote appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship, and service.

  • How are students selected for membership?

Each year Barker Middle School inducts new members into National Junior Honor Society (NJHS).  In order to be invited to join the club, students must maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and demonstrate achievements in citizenship, service, leadership, and character.  Students are selected by the Faculty Council which consist of members of the teaching staff, counselors, and principals.
