  • backpack "Community Backpack" is an online bulletin board where local non-profit organizations may post fliers announcing special events and programs for children and families. Organizations interested in posting a flier should email it to bkohn@mcas.k12.in.us. (Please send information in .pdf format if possible.)
     
    The event should be in or very close to MCAS attendance boundaries, and it should pertain to or involve students. Please suggest a length of time for the flier to be posted. Sorry - no campaign events or ads/offers by for-profit businesses.

  • Give Back Foundation Hosts a Uniform Giveaway

    Free school uniforms, socks, coats, supplies, and backpacks will be handedout Saturday, March 18, from 8am to Noon at the Housing Authority Main Office, located at 621 E. Michigan Blvd. Complete the attached form and review the requirements.

  • Registration now Open for Michigan City Youth Baseball and Girls Youth Softball Leagues

    The deadline to register is April 01, 2017.  You may registr online at www.mcparksandrec.com or at the Park Office.  Cost is $30 for 5-6 year olds, and $50 for 7-15 year olds.

  • Michigan City YMCA Long Beach and Elston Branches, Co-Ed Baseball

    The YMCA is offering baseball training sessions for students Grades 5-8.  These sessions are intendented for more advanced players, who will continue to refine and develop their skills.  There will be two sessions per week, on Thursday's and Saturday's, with the initial session beginning Thursday, February 9th.  Registration is now open.
