  • Meet the Teacher
    Hello! My name is Jacen Smith, 
    I am the Band Director here at 
    Barker Middle School and the 
    Assistant Band Director at Michigan 
    City High School. I graduated 2023 
    from Indiana University Bloomington 
    with degrees in Music Education 
    and Horn Performance with a minor 
    in Conducting. I am thrilled to begin 
    my first year teaching here at MCAS.
