• Welcome to Our Class

     I would like to welcome everyone to Mr. Lasky's Seventh and Eighth Grade Social Studies classes. 
    We are going to be having a lot of fun while we work hard to explore the geography and history of the world around us.
    To do that, I need the parents, students, and me to be a team. 
    The only way to insure success is to communicate with each other.

  • Meet the Teacher
     Hi Folks,
         My name is Mr. Lasky.  I have been a teacher for 34 years. 
     I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.  
    I started my teaching career in La Porte as a substitute teacher.
    I taught in Gary for five years.  I then came to Michigan City
    where I taught at Edgewood, Krueger, Edgewood, and finally at
    Springfield as a P.E. teacher.  I retired when Covid hit to
    have my knee replaced.  I decided to come back and see if I
    still loved teaching.  I still do!  I have a wife who
    is also a teacher.  I have two grown boys and an old dog.  I 
    enjoy riding my recumbent bike long distances.  I also enjoy shooting pool and playing golf.
