  • I am Mr. Robert "Rob" Schaffer the Fire Science Teacher. I am a former MCAS English teacher (1993-1999) and former business owner (1998-2019). I am retired from the Michigan City Fire Department (1999-2020), where I served in the ranks of Firefighter, Driver/Operator, Lieutenant, Captain, and Fire Marshal. I have come back to the classroom to teach our students the skills needed to be a firefighter, while giving them the opportunity to pursue Indiana state certifications in firefighting, as well as, achieve dual credits from IVY Tech.
