Mrs. Noetzel's Student Support Services Class
We are a team here at Knapp working together, striving to be successful Knapp Knights and citizens in all areas we pursue. I am looking so forward to working with all the amazing students and staff at Knapp again for the 2019-2020 school year.
Meet the TeacherMy name is Kim Noetzel and I am the Student Support Services Teacher here at Knapp for grades 3 through 6. I have been teaching for the last 18 years. I got my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mild Interventions at Manchester College which is now Manchester University. Upon graduating from Manchester I moved back to Michigan City and taught 7th and 8th grade non-departmentalized at St. Stan's here in Michigan City for 3 years. I then moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where I taught in a self-contained classroom for students with emotional disabilities for 10 years. I met my husband, who is originally from South Bend, in Indianapolis where we lived in Fishers, Indiana. My husband got a job in Valparaiso which allowed us to move up here closer to family. We moved here in 2015 and I started teaching at Knapp. I was a resource teacher the first year and then have been co-teaching and love pushing into the classroom with the students. Besides teaching, my family is very important to me. We have 2 amazing boys, Jaxon is 7 years old and in 2nd grade and Connor is 4 years old in Pre-K. I grew up in Michigan City and am very happy to be home and teaching at Knapp which is the school I went to as a child. I am very excited about working with all the amazing groups of students. I have a lot of plans for the school year and I plan to make this a very prosperous year.
