Go Colts!! Go Bears!!
Welcome to Marsh School! I am very excited about working with the staff and families in this school community!
I am married and have one son and two grandchildren. I love to read, travel, cook, and shop. My favorite sports teams are the Chicago Bulls and Bears, and the Indianapolis Colts. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Purdue North Central and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Purdue Calumet. I graduated with Highest Honors and obtained several scholarships and awards.
I have been an educator for twenty-four years. My experiences include being a paraprofessional, a scout leader, a parent volunteer, a substitute teacher, a Title I teacher, and principal. I spent nineteen years at Niemann School, and this is my fifth year at Marsh School.
I can't think of a career that would be more satisfying or challenging than an educational administrator. I view myself as a facilitator and role model for all stakeholders. I advise students on strategies for personal growth, both socially and academically, and contact parents for support and input. I work collaboratively with staff, coaching them on instructional goals and keeping everyone focused on a common vision of improving student achievement. We want every Marsh student to be successful. I try to instill a positive outlook for learning, as I believe this is a life-long process. Let's work together to make this an awesome school year!
