    Economics

    I can identify and describe 5 jobs that involve Economics.

    Lesson Description

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Use the internet to research jobs that involve Economics or Economists.
    2. Log into Economics Google Classroom and create a google doc and in the document title box, rename it by typing your initials, the date, and Econ. 
    3. At the top right hand side of the google doc type the heading (name, date, Economics, ELearning Assignment).  
    4. List these 5 jobs and along with each job, list the job duties of the people who have these jobs.
    5. Highlight the job that appeals to you the most. You must pick one job. 
    6. Submit the document to me at labbey@mcas.k12.in.us through Economics Google Classroom.

    English

    I can...create a plot and storyline for fictional characters that I have created and continue to develop these.   

    Lesson Description

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Continue your anti-hero/super-hero story. Start involving other characters and tell me about a problem that your main character encounters and how it gets solved with the help of other characters.  Start thinking about what the other characters look like as we will create pictures for all of the characters eventually.  Write at least 3 paragraphs today (a paragraph has 3 or more sentences in it
    2. Submit the document to me at labbey@mcas.k12.in.us through English Google Classroom.

    Physical Science

    I can...locate an experiment about gravity, on the internet or in a book, and perform the experiment with materials from my home.  I can describe the experiment and record my findings in a google document and submit it through Physical Science google classroom.    

    Lesson Description

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Find an experiment about gravity that you can perform at home. Keep this simple!!!!  You can use an experiment for any age group.  The assignment should not be complicated or difficult.  Search online for something SIMPLE.
    2. Create a google doc in PS Google Classroom. In the document title box, type your initials, the date, and PS.  At the top right hand side of the google doc type the heading (name, date, PS, ELearning Assignment). 
    3. Tell me what the experiment is and what performing the experiment taught you about gravity.

    Work to be turned in: Submit document in our Physical Science Google Classroom.  

     

    Earth Science

    I can...define and discuss sustainability and demonstrate my knowledge and understanding of the issue.

    Lesson Description

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Read and review article, “What is sustainability?” located in Earth Science Google Classroom.
    2. Complete the worksheet attached to the article.
    3. Send the document to me in Earth Science Google Classroom.   

    Work to be turned in: Submit your completed worksheet (attached to article) in Earth Science Google Classroom.  

           

    US History

    I can...identify and discuss the court case that made inter-racial marriage legal.  I can define key terms related to the case and identify the holiday dedicated to celebrating the end of segregated marriage in the United States.      

    Lesson Description

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Read and review the article, “Loving v. Virginia, the court case that made interracial marriage legal”.   
    2. Go to US History google classroom and create a document. In the document title box, type your initials, the date, and USH.  At the top right hand side of the google doc type the heading (name, date, USH, ELearning Assignment).  
    3. Find the words in bold type in the article, write these words down on your google doc and write the definitions of these words.
    4. Tell me who and what the article is about.
    5. Tell me why you think that the story in the article is an important piece of US History.
    6. What holiday was inspired by the events in the article?
    7. Finally, list 5 pieces of information that you learned from the article.

    Work to be turned in: Submit your completed document in US History Google Classroom.  

     

    PLATO

    I can...work, online, independently to complete modules and mastery tests in both core and elective courses.

    Lesson Description

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into each of your PLATO courses and complete one mastery test in each course.
