E-Learning Day 3/31/20

  • Click on the google classroom link to access my google classroom and complete assignments. Under the classwork tab you will find all of the assignments divided up by subject. Links to all of the related arts teacher webpages are located here. Please be sure to visit the related arts teacher's page if you would go to their class on the day of the week the snow day lands on. Click on the name of the related arts to access each teacher's webpage.

    Google Classroom Link

    Spelling:

    I can...spell words with consonant patterns ph, gh, ck, ng (2.RF.4.4)

    Steps for Lesson:

    1. Go to Google Classroom.
    2. Find the posted spelling assignment.
    3. Click on the assignment SpellingCity 3-31.
    4. Click on the SpellingCity link and login (use your Clever login).
    5. Select Week 30.
    6. Play games for 15 minutes to practice your spelling words (work verified through SpellingCity report).
    7. Go back to the Google Classroom assignment.
    8. Select 'Mark as done' to submit.

    *Time to complete is approximately 15 minutes

    Work to be turned in:

    Google Classroom assignment SpellingCity 3-31 due 3/31/20.

    Math Skills Review

    I can... add and subtract fluently within 100 (2.CA.1)

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Go to Google Classroom.
    2. Find the posted math skills review assignment.
    3. Click on the assignment Math Skills Review 3-31.
    4. Click on the Google Form.
    5. Read and answer each question.
    6. Go back and check your work for each answer.
    7. Go back to the Google Classroom assignment.
    8. Select 'Mark as done' to turn in.

    * Time to complete is approximately 20 minutes.

    Work to be turned in:

    Google Classroom assignment Math Skills Review 3-31 due 3/31/20.

    Math:

    I can... add and subtract lengths (2.CA.3)

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Go to Google Classroom.
    2. Find the posted math assignment.
    3. Click on the assignment Math 3-31.
    4. Get out your math instruction book and a pencil (plus and numbers book).
    5. View the lesson video and following along with your book on pages 214-215.
    6. Take out your practice and problem solving book (tear book).
    7. Complete pages 237-238.
    8. If you have any questions please comment on the Google Classroom assignment or send me a hangout via email.
    9. Go back to the assignment on Google Classroom.
    10. Select 'Mark as done' to turn in the assignment.

    *Time to complete is approximately 30 minutes.

    Work to be turned in:

    Google Classroom Math 3-31 assignment due 3/31/20.

    Reading:

    I can... ask and answer questions about the text (2.RL.2.1)

    I can... use background knowledge to help me understand a text (2.RL.2.1)

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Go to Google Classroom
    2. Find the reading assignment.
    3. Click on the assignment Reading 3-31.
    4. View the lesson video on setting and central message.
    5. Select the attached Google Form.
    6. Read the passage and answer the questions.
    7. Go back to the assignment.
    8. Select 'Mark as done' to turn in.

    *Time to complete approximately 30 minutes.

    Google Classroom assignment Reading 3-31 due on 3/31/20.

    Language:

    I can... identify when and how to use pronouns in my writing (2.W.6.1a)

    Steps of the Lesson

    1. Go to Google Classroom.
    2. Find the posted language assignment.
    3. Click on the assignment Language 3-31.
    4. Select the attached Google Slide.
    5. Click on the 'Present' button in the upper right hand corner of the page.
    6. Click the > arrow at the bottom of the left hand corner to begin.
    7. Read each sentence and click on the pronoun that you think best takes the place of the underlined noun/proper nouns.
    8. The next slide will either tell you if you got it right or wrong.
    9. If you got it right, click the tooth image in the upper right hand corner of the slide.
    10. If you got it wrong, click the arrow image in the bottom right hand corner of the slide to try again.
    11. Continue answering each question until you reach the last slide that reads 'YOU DID IT! AMAZING! CONGRATULATIONS!'
    12. Press the 'esc' button on your keyboard to exit the presentation.
    13. Go back to the Google Classroom assignment.
    14. Select 'Mark as done' to turn in.
