Emergency Medical Technician Instructor, teaching high school seniors, from around the county. Supportive in all aspects of the program, creating the syllabus, incorporating text, grading, scheduling clinical, lecture, lab and scenario-based learning, teaching the National EMT Curriculum, organizing and chairing the emergency medical services advisory board, writing contracts for affiliation agreements, for ambulance, and emergency room clinical, building an e-learning format, for computer-based training, along with preparing the students to take the national registry EMT exam, along with POST, and FEMA training.

I headed the formation and design of the program, including program structure rules and regulations, teaching all topics, writing and refining the syllabus, recommending text and equipment, instrumental in the formation and adoption of the programs accreditation, through CoAEMSP, structuring affiliation agreements, throughout the area. Coordinating instructors lecture times and topics, overseeing student clinical sites, tracking students participation hours and grades, through FISDAP certifying and signing off on all practical skills. As the Paramedic Science Program Primary Instructor, I originate and file all State applications of training for the Paramedic and EMT training courses, 7 paramedic classes, 25 EMT classes. EMT Classes Held at four different Fire Departments, including the campus of Notre Dame University.

I worked here as a high school student, for a summer job, fell in love with the work, I came back after college and volunteered for several years, then married into the camp, my wife and I met and now work for the camp every weekend, driving from Valparaiso, to Bloomington, IN, a 4 hour commute, for the past 12 years.
• In my spare time I enjoy gardening and lawn work, I currently, tend to 12 properties, on my street, assisting several single mom families, and two elderly couples with heart conditions, and one wheel chair bound Veteran.
Career Goals
• I would like to author and publish a text / lab workbook for the EMT classroom. A dozen times throughout the year I have students from other EMT classes looking for some tutoring and/or a refresher course. I would like to build supportive material for this application.
• Work on a State or National Registry Board.
