Michigan City High School

Welcome to my class; I'm Mary Zolis and I look forward to meeting you all as we start on a new school year! Many of you know me from last year, and this year I will be teaching Spanish I and Early Childhoold Developent. 

I'm a graduate of Elston Senior High School, which is where my eyes lit up when I heard about foreign study and I did everything I could to travel and study abroad in Mexico and then Spain, where I settled down to live and raise a family. Many heartfelt thanks go out to my Spanish teacher at Elston, el Señor Hakim, who insired all his students to do their very best, while not just learning a language but living a new culture and expanding their horizons. I've always been a teacher--just in many different settings! I spent years teaching English as a Second Language when I lived in Spain (and Catalonia), college and high school Spanish, as well as teaching with Student Support Services here at MCHS. My place is with you, and so is my heart! 

Our learning platform will be google classroom, and I have sent out calendar invites to all of you who are enrolled in class.
