National Hour Of Code 

In partnership with the Unity Foundation, La Porte County Library and in conjunction with the Computer Science Education Week, Michigan City Area Schools and districts across La Porte County will participate in An Hour of Code the week of December 3rd - 7th. Similar to our efforts in recent years, it is expected that each student participates in at least one hour of code in the classroom. Lessons can be found on several resources found on this website.

"The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify 'code,' to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science." (https://hourofcode.com/us) This is a valuable time for our teachers and students to address Indiana Computer Science Standards that will be assessed on this years ILEARN.
