Meet the Teacher
Hello everyone!! I am Miss Quartuccio, the Art teacher!!!! I go by Miss Q since everybody has a hard time saying my last name. It really is an easy pronunciation: Kwar-TWO-chee-o!
This is my fifth year teaching art and my third year teaching elementary art. It should be quite an interesting adventure, with being online for the first 8 weeks of school, but I know we all can do this!
I was born and raised here in Michigan City. I attended St. Mary's Grade School, graduated from Michigan City High School. While at MCHS, I was the mascot (Clyde the Wolf) for three years and was Joe Puma at Saint Joseph's College. I have a Bachelor of Art in Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Saint Joseph's College. I received my teaching license from Calumet College of St. Joseph's.
I teach at Marsh Elementary School on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I teach at Pine Elementary School on Wednesdays and Fridays.
I am co-teacher on the K-3 classroom teachers' ClassDojo's and have a Remind set up for my 4th and 5th-grade classes at both schools. I will be using these to track your children's behavior, as well as communicate with you in case of any questions or issues that may arise during the school year.
I am available anytime after 3 pm, except on Wednesdays when we have our professional development sessions. Emailing, Dojo, or Remind is the best way of communication because I have easier access to a computer or my phone to respond back quickly.
I can not wait to get to know your children and to help them release their creativity!!
