    Meet the Teacher
     Hello! My name is Ashley McMeans and I LOVE teaching 5th grade here at Springfield Elementary! I graduated from Purdue University North Central in 2013 and have been teaching for 5 years.  I grew up here in the beautiful Michigan City and attended Michigan City Area Schools from K-12th grade. I feel priviledged to be teaching in the very same district in which I grew up. When I am not at school, My husband and I love to travel, hike, and spend time with family and our dog Ziva. I am looking forward to another wonderful year full of exciting learning opportunities and growth!
