• Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year

Welcome to Pine Elementary School, a magnet school for the arts.  I am so proud to be the principal of this amazing school!  The future is bright here at Pine, and I am excited to be a part of this team.

I previously taught at Edgewood Elementary in both fourth and fifth grade.  I graduated from Purdue University Northwest in the spring of 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  I student taught in a kindergarten class at Edgewood, and after an amazing experience, I was hired as a fifth-grade teacher.  Being a life-long learner is so important to me, so after teaching for three years, I decided to go back to school and enrolled at Ball State University.  In the spring of 2019, I graduated with a Master's degree in Educational Supervision and Instruction and attained my school administration license.  I loved being in the classroom and it took me a couple of years to be ready to leave my own room and group of students.

I believe in educating the whole child so they are able to find success in all facets of life.  Students, families, staff, and various community members must work alongside one another so that we are able to achieve success for each of our Panthers.  As a team, I look forward to continued growth for our students, building, and community!

This year we are thrilled to be welcoming you all back into the building to see how we are integrating the arts into our everyday work, it is quite amazing what our students are doing each day!  We look forward to growing our current community partnerships and forming new ones.  Our parent group is always looking for new members to join and take part in the wonderful things happening at Pine.  On the second Tuesday of each month, we have a PTC meeting.  We will also be hosting monthly family movie nights as well as other various events throughout the year.

Here is to a wonderful year, Panthers!
