I am looking forward to an exciting, different, and very busy year of getting to know each one of my students and meeting their individual needs as learners.  Through engaging activities, lessons, hands on learning, and reading, reading, reading, (Did I mention reading?) we will learn and grow as both individuals and as a class.   

 

Assignments will be posted regularly in Google Classroom, and parents will have access to the day's lessons by checking my Virtual Classroom's filing cabinet. We will be using several forms of technology to keep students engaged and learning in all different formats... both using technology and paper and pencil.  

 

I would like each student to make a goal of reading at least twenty minutes per evening.  Many studies show the more a child reads to them self, out loud, or is read to the more successful they will be academically. Students will also need to have addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts mastered in the 3rd grade.

 

While this year will be different, I have no doubt it will be nothing short of amazing!
