    Integration Technology Specialist Administrator

  • Hi! My name is Ashley Kohler. I taught Biology I Academic Honors Early College at Michigan City High School from 2012 to 2021. I am a former student of Michigan City High School, and proud to say so! I graduated top in my class in 2006. After high school, I attended The University of Illinois on a full athletic scholarship and earned a bachelors degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology (Pre-Medicine). I initially wanted to attend medical school to become a doctor, but I love coaching and teaching and this would not be feasible working in a hospital. I decided to let go of my dreams of becoming a doctor and instead decided to change plans and work in education. After Illinois, I attended Valparaiso University where I earned my Masters Degree in Education. While I was going to school at Valparaiso University, I was the Graduate Assistant Volleyball Coach.

I am currently the districts Integration Technology Specialist Administrator, helping educators integrate technology in their classrooms. I help train and support them on best practices using various programs and technology.
