  • Welcome to MC Miss K!

Hello, my name is Kinsey Krachinski, and I am pursuing a B.S. in Secondary English Education at Purdue Northwest! I am currently a senior in my program and am so excited about becoming a new teacher in the English program!

In my studies, I focus very heavily on culturally responsive individual and group collaboration in the classroom. My goal as an educator is to ensure many opportunities for students to grow. As a field instructor alongside teachers, Mrs. Handley and Mrs. Bormet, I hope to gain more knowledge on creating different lessons and activities to ensure student success!

I also currently work as a writing tutor on my university campus and am heavily involved in student organizations in mental and physical health. I believe in the wellness of a great student body, so that we have great success with our students. I look forward to the progression of this semester with you all and Go Wolves!

Hello, my name is Monica Handley and I have been teaching English in Michigan City for 15 years. I have a B.S. in Secondary English Education from Taylor University and a Master's Degree from Indiana Wesleyan.
My teaching style incorporates a variety of teaching methodologies and techniques. I am always looking for new ways to enhance the learning experience for the students in my class.
I am very excited for this upcoming year. I am co-teaching with Nicole Bormet for three periods a day and teaching AP Language and Composition three periods a day. My goal is to create a comfortable, positive environment that encourages success in reading and writing. I am dedicated to the success of our students and I am looking forward to the year!
