  • Hello, my name is Monica Handley and I have been teaching English in Michigan City for 18 years. I have a B.S. in Secondary English Education from Taylor University and a Master's Degree from Indiana Wesleyan.    

    My teaching style incorporates a variety of teaching methodologies and techniques. I am always looking for new ways to enhance the learning experience for the students in my class. I currently teach Advanced Placement Language and Composition and I co-teach English 10 with Nicole Bormet.
     
    My goal is to create a comfortable, positive environment that encourages success in lifelong learning. My passion is to help empower students to do their best work, to encourage students to continue to seek out opportunities to learn, and to inspire students to impact the world in a positive way. I am dedicated to the success of our students and I am looking forward to the year!
