    Earth Space Science- Periods 1, 2, 3

    I can...
3/16- Research and describe the tools used to study astronomy.
3/17- Identify and define vocabulary used in studying astronomy and the Sun / Earth / Moon system.
3/18- Find examples of the vocabulary over the Sun / Earth / Moon system.
3/19- Learn the tools that humans have used to study astronomy / identify geographic features of the moon / explain the theory of the moon's formation.
3/20- Describe how orbits work and the orbits of the Sun, Earth, and Moon. Describe how astronomers study the Moon and the main geographic features of the Moon's interior and exterior.
3/23- Understand how the orbits of the Sun / Earth / and Moon are related and the factors behind ocean tides, seasons, moon phases, and solar and lunar eclipses.
3/24- Identify and describe the phases of the moon as seen from Earth. Understand why we see the different phases of the moon from earth due to orbits.
3/25- Identify and describe the phases of the moon as seen from Earth. Understand why we see the different phases of the moon from earth due to orbits. (continued)
3/26- Review the basics and the orbital relationship of the Sun, Earth, and Moon.
3/27- Review the relationship between Earth and its moon. Review the cause of ocean tides.
3/30- Review all major unit concepts covered in the notes over the Sun / Earth / Moon System.
3/31- Review Unit 11- Sun / Earth / Moon System in preparation for the assessment on Wednesday.
4/1- Assess over Sun / Earth / Moon System
4/2- Assess over Sun / Earth / Moon System
4/3- Research and find information about objects that are a part of a solar system to introduce the next unit on solar systems.

    Biology- Periods 5, 7

    I can...
3/16- Identify and define vocabulary in the study of Mendelian genetics.
3/17- Learn the vocab used in studying Mendelian Genetics and find good examples and illustrations for these concepts.
3/18- Understand how heredity works through genes and alleles, how we use a Punnett Square to predict traits of offspring, and how Gregor Mendel 1st studied heredity in pea plants to come up with the laws of inheritance.
3/19- Learn to set up a Punnett Square to predict the probability of the inheritance of a trait using the vocab we studied.
3/20- Set up a monohybrid Punnett Square and determine the probability of a trait being inherited in offspring.
3/23- Study how Mendel came up with his laws of heredity and how they apply in predicting how traits are passed from parent to offspring. Use proper terminology in solving genetics problems using Punnett Squares.
3/24- Study how Mendel came up with his laws of heredity and how they apply in predicting how traits are passed from parent to offspring. Use proper terminology in solving genetics problems using Punnett Squares. (continued)
3/25- Review how to set up a Punnett Square step by step to predict the probability of the inheritance of a trait and give genotype and phenotype as a percentage.
3/26- 1) Review the link between alleles, genes, and traits. 2) Study the terminology used in heredity and genetics needed to solve Punnett Squares.
3/27- Distinguish between genes, alleles, and traits / set up a Punnett Square and give both percentage and a ratio for both genotype and phenotype of offspring.
3/30- Understand how a dihybrid cross can be used to predict two separate traits in one Punnett Square with 16 boxes instead of the 4 in the monohybrid cross.
3/31- Review for the assessment over Mendelian Genetics on Thursday.
4/1- Go over and check answers on the review for the assessment over Mendelian Genetics.
4/2- Assess over Mendelian Genetics (heredity, alleles, punnett squares, traits)
4/3- use a 16 box punnett square to predict the probability of 2 traits being passed to offspring (dihybrid cross).

Int Chemistry / Physics- Period 8

    I can...
3/16- Identify and describe examples of the forms of energy and heat transfer.
3/17- Review for the assessment over energy and heat.
3/18- review the forms of energy and heat transfer by going over the study guide.
3/19- Create a presentation explaining and illustrating examples of the types of energy that we studied in this unit.
3/20- Assess over the unit on the forms of energy and heat transfer.
3/23- Finish my presentation explaining and illustrating examples of the types of energy that we studied in this unit.
