    Ms. Stephanie Sobecki 
    Choral Director, Barker Middle School
    Hi! I am Ms. Stephanie Sobecki, and I have spent over 34 years in schools all over the Michigan City Area,
    teaching Choral and General Music. I received my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the State University of New York, and my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Mary.  I continue to take Graduate courses through the Music Education Centers of America (MECA). In addition to working in the MCAS, I am Choir director for a local church, and also accompany many area students at ISSMA Solo and ensemble contest, and Circle the State with Song. I live in Chesterton, have 5 children and 3 grandkids!  When I am not pursuing musical endeavors, I love distance running, gardening, "house handyman projects" and attending  many Notre Dame and Chicago sports events with my family.
