     Welcome to Mrs. Shell's Kindergarten!
Our classroom is built on 4 important core values:
Positive attitude: Students come to school ready and eager to learn, use encouraging words, are supportive, kind, and helpful by allowing others to learn, and use good manners.

Accept responsibility: Students are accountable for their actions, know and follow school and classroom rules and procedures, and bring their folder to school each day.

Work together: Students use kind words with one another, their teacher, and other adults.

Show respect: Students actively listen to one another, appreciate and accept individual differences, help others, and take care of their own and other's property.

  • Meet the Teacher
My name is Susan Shell. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Saint Mary of the Wood's College.  I have been teaching for 15 years and this is my 14th year teaching Kindergarten.
I live in Michigan City with my three children that keep me busy and on my toes. Emma is 9 and Liam and Livia are my 8 year old twins. I also have two cats, named Cubbie and Addison, and three dogs named Wrigley, Ariel, and Rizzo. Yes, we are avid Cubs' fans!
I also enjoy reading, traveling, and doing fun activities with my family and friends. Going on adventures and making memories are my favorite!
I absolutely love this grade level!  Kindergartners are always ready and eager to learn new things.  Every day is a new and fun adventure!
