Assessments (Elementary Level)


    The purpose of the Indiana Reading Evaluation And Determination (IREAD-3) assessment is to measure foundational reading standards through grade three. Based on the Indiana Academic Standards, IREAD-3 was developed in accordance with Public Law 109 which "requires the evaluation of reading skills for students who are in grade three beginning in the Spring of 2012 to ensure that all students can read proficiently before moving on to grade four.



    The purpose of mCLASS is to provide assessments for K-2 students in literacy and math. mCLASS:Reading 3D and mCLASS:Math help identify students' strengths and weaknesses in basic reading and math skills so that teachers can provide instruction to meet each students' needs.



    A single K–12 adaptive Diagnostic for reading and mathematics that pinpoints student needs down to the sub-skill level, and ongoing progress monitoring shows whether students are on track to achieve end-of-year targets.

    The purpose of the ILEARN Assesment (ILEARN) is to measure student achievement in the subject areas of English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. In particular, ILEARN reports student achievement levels according to the Indiana Academic Standards that were adopted in 2014 by the Indiana State Board of Education. ILEARN is a computer-adaptive assesment designed to measure student readiness.
