    Advanced Industrial Robots World Discovery and Adventures Camp
    for 9th to 12th Grade Students
    July 8-12, 2019 ~ 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (5 days)
    Please join the PNW Mechatronic Engineering Technology faculty for five days of fun robotics activities including games and competitions. Students will earn a Robotics Technical Experience Certificate of Completion on day 5 of the camp.
    The camp will be held at no-cost on the Purdue University Northwest-Westville Campus, Technology Building - Room 031.
    Registration is mandatory and includes all needed supplies and snacks during the break period.

    Robotics Competition & More Students learn how to think critically, be creative, and analyze like an entrepreneur. Students solve problems as they code, do challenges, create projects, learn strategies, while experiencing AI with the newest technologies.

    Dunes Arts Foundation Acting Classes
    Youth 8 to 12, Tues. and Thurs. 10-Noon CST

    Dunes Summer Theater, 288 Shady Oak Dr, Michigan City
    Tito Sanchez-Williams, a graduate of the New School of Drama in NYC with a Master of Fine Arts in Acting, returns this summer to teach our Youth and Teen Acting Classes. In these 5-week, fun-packed courses, young actors will learn skills to help them listen, focus, and find their inner voice. During this summer program, your young actor can develop their creative abilities, learn teamwork required for performing, vocal projection, articulation, timing, improve their listening and memorization skills, confidence and grace. The summer culminates in a showcase celebrating your young actor's new found talents.
    Each class is limited to 12 students, so reserve your spot early.
    Indiana Sheriff's Association Youth Leadership Camp
    The Indiana Sheriff's Association (ISA) will be celebrating their 40th Annual Indiana Sheriffs' Association Youth Leadership Camp!
    There will be two camp sessions this year. The first session will be held June 25- 28 at Pine Creek Camp in Pine Village, Indiana (Warren County), serving the northern part of the state. The second session will be held July 9-11 serving the southern part of the state at Waycross Episcopal Camp in Morgantown, Indiana (Brown County).
    The Indiana Sheriffs' Association Youth Leadership Camp is a program provided by the ISA for boys and girls who are currently in the 7th or 8th grade of school and are interested in learning more about a possible career in law enforcement. The camp provides a very meaningful experience as well as relationships with other campers from throughout the state and sheriff’s deputies who serve as counselors and instructors.
    Any boy or girl in the 7th or 8th grade of school interested in attending the camp should contact the Captain Derek J. Allen (219-326-7700, ext. 2283 / dallen@lcso.in.gov), one of the school resource officers, or your school counselor for an application and additional information.
    LaPorte Municipal Airport Aviation Camp
    Aviation Camp for students entering grades 6th - 12th next school years.
    Cost:  $50
    Date:  June 10 - 14, 2019
    What's included:
    - All students receive a flight from a local pilot
    - Speakers include an aeronautical engineer, airline pilot, and reaper/predator drone operator.

    Grades 5-8, June 17-21

    Michigan City Police Youth Leadership Academy
    From June 24 through June 28, the 2019 MCPD Youth Leadership Academy will be a fun and inspiring week that will help to motivate each participant to take their place as leaders among their peers. High energy activities, positive reinforcement, and confidence building programs will be the common thread throughout the activities of the week.     Michigan City Yacht Club Sailing Programs
    South Shore Nautical Education Foundation, Inc., located at Washington Park Marina, offers a sailing school for children ages 8 and older. We have two youth programs which include youth racing and youth day camp. The youth racing is held 5PM-7PM on Tuesdays for 4 weeks, and is tailored to teach the fundamentals of racing. The summer day camp is designed to emphasize the fun of sailing.     Salvation Army Summer Camp (Little Pine Island)
    The Salvation Army of Michigan City (1201 S. Franklin Street Michigan City, IN) offers FREE summer camps for students of all ages at its camp in Michigan. Programs include outdoor adventure, sports, music, teen, and high adventure camps and occur intermittently throughout the summer.
