    Boys & Girls Club of La Porte County 2024 Summer Camp
    FREE summer camp at the Charles R. Westcott Club in Michigan City.
    Camp runs from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (June 13 - July 24)

    This program is open to children who are in kindergarten through 8th grade during the 2023/2024 school year. Due to high demand, we ask that all registered members attend an average of at least three days per week.

    Monday, April 29 - Pre-registration opens at 8:00 AM for all 2023/2024 school year Club members and 2023 Summer Club members

    Wednesday, May 1 - Pre-registration opens at 8:00 AM for all other families
     
    Dunes Summer Theatre Youth Program
    Led by dunesARTS Education Coordinator Michael Fallon and professional actors, students will develop their performative, creative, and collaborative skills as they work on solos, dramatic scenes, and group ensembles, toward a finale showcase production. Whether it's acting, singing, dancing, or all 3, students will be able to participate at a level tailored to their strengths and interests. Details:
    • Open to ages 8-18
    • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1-3pm (July 9-25)
    • Concludes with a showcase production on Saturday, July 27 at 11am
    • 1 enrollee - $225, 2 or more enrollees - $200 ea
    • Scholarships are available for MCAS students to attend at reduced or no cost!

    The Leadership LaPorte County Summer Camp for Middle School Students
    Students entering grades 6th, 7th, or 8th for the fall 2024/25 school year

    A wide variety of summer classes and programs for ages 7 and up!
    Michigan City "City Kids" Day Camp
    For boys and girls 6-11 years old
    Location: Lake Hills Elementary School, 201 Ferguson Road
    Dates: Monday through Friday, June 3rd through July 26th
    (no camp on Wednesday, June 19 or Thursday, July 4)
    Times: 8 am to 3 pm
    Cost: $60 per student per week, or $30 per week for summer school students (1/2 day of camp)

    Michigan City Police Department Youth Leadership Academy
    Open to students entering grades 6, 7, and 8
    Dates: June 17-21 (Monday-Friday)
    Time: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
    Location: Michigan City Police Dept. (1201 E. Michigan Blvd.)
    About: This program will teach leadership and team-building with the purpose of identifying future leaders of our community. The academy will introduce participants to careers in public service, develop leadership skills, and promote physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Participants will be encouraged to embrace diversity and will take part in community service to emphasize the benefits of good citizenship. The academy will provide a fun and safe environment for participants to engage with local community role models.

    PNW is offering a wide range of summer programs for middle and high school students interested in nursing, robotics, and STEM fields. 
    Programs include: Tech & Business, Engineering & Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Health Sciences
    Options are available at the Westville and Hammond locations.

    Purdue University Northwest Young Leaders Academy Summer Innovation Experience
    A free program on the Westville PNW campus for students entering grades 9 and 10
    June 19-22 or July 17-20
     
    Safe Harbor Elementary Camp 
    Location: Joy Elementary School, 1600 E. Coolspring Ave.
    Open to students who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade.

    Camp fee: $150 per student
