     ELEMENTARY PROGRAMS
     
     
    *Transportation will be provided *Breakfast & Lunch will be served.
    * There is no cost to families.  *All classes will be at Lake Hills Elementary.
      
     
    Kindergarten Countdown (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
     
    For students entering Kindergarten.  The focus will be on classroom routine, early Literacy skills and social skills. This program includes field trip opportunities. Students must be enrolled in MCAS for Fall 2019 in order to attend.

    Please return the completed form to the school office your child will be entering in the fall OR to the MCAS Administration Building, 408 S. Carroll Avenue.   Registration deadline is May 3, 2019.
     
     
    First Grade Lit Camp (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
     
    The primary focus will be on literacy education.  For students entering grade 1. If your child is selected to attend this program, you will receive a registration form from the principal. Please return the completed form to your child's school office. Deadline for registration is May 3, 2019.
     
    1-6 Summer Reading Remediation (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
     
    The primary focus will be on reading comprehension.  For students entering grades 1, 2, 3, 5, & 6. If your child is required to attend this program, you will receive a registration form from the principal. Please return the completed form to your child's school office. Deadline for registration is May 3, 2019.
     
    3rd Grade IREAD Remediation (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
     
    Students who DO NOT PASS the IREAD 3rd Grade test will be required to attend Summer School or will repeat 3rd Grade (exception given to students with an IEP).  The IREAD-3 will be given again at the end of summer school. If your child is required to attend this program, you will receive a registration form from the principalPlease return the completed form to your child's school office. Deadline for registration is May 3, 2019.
      
     

     
     MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM

    Grade 6 & 7 Remediation (7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
    Remediation for students who are below grade level and entering Grades 7 & 8. Teachers will use the summer materials for the Reading Comprehension Toolkit and Ready Math and Reading.  If your child is required to attend this program you will receive a registration form from the principal. Please return the completed form to your child's school office. Deadline for registration is May 3, 2019.

    For Driver's Education
    MCAS is not offering Driver's Education this year, however, there are several options to choose from! Please click the following links below. Please note that listing below is not an official endorsement by MCAS.
     
    1. DriverEdToGo - Online class, 30 hours $35. Once completed a certificate is mailed to student to turn in at BMV.

    Some students may receive a special invitation to take part in camps that meet their specific needs. Invitation-only camps include:
    • Students who need extra support to ensure they stay on grade level.
    • Third-grade students who did not pass the IREAD test or are below grade level in reading.
    • Special Education students.
