Meet the Teacher
My name is Michael Nichols, and I'll be your Science Teacher for the upcoming school year! I am looking forward to getting to know you all and guiding you to success, whatever that might be for you. First, though, let me share a bit about myself.
This will be my first year teaching, though that does not mean I am unprepared! I recently graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor's Degree in Earth/Space Science Education, not to mention the more than ten years of tutoring experience I have! I'm not all business though; in my spare time you'll find me racing mountain bikes, playing chess, or making chemicals explode (while following all lab safety protocols of course)!
My teaching philosophy is simple: make it fun and accessible. As long as we are working together towards those two common goals and communicating with one another, my classes should be a breeze for everyone!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter of introduction. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. My contact information is below this letter of introduction and I can be reached during normal school hours (approx. 7:15-2:15) although meetings can be arranged outside of these hours.
