  • When we have E-Learning for the week of May 11, 2020, this is where you will go to work.  Each extended E-learning week will have a different page to help you keep track of what needs to be completed.

     For all Links, go to my Learning Place which is the tab above the E-Learning Days tab.  You will have one checklist to complete for the whole week in Google Classroom which will serve as your normal weekly Must Do List.

    Wednesday, May 13, 2020 - LAST DAY!!!

    ***Whole Class Google Meet for CREW is at 1:30 pm.  This will only be about 15 minutes.

    ***Math games at either 10:30 am or 2:30 pm.  You can join for both, but you don't have to and can just do one that works best for you.

     

    Reading

    I can: Read a book at my level for 20 minutes and complete a 2-3 sentence summary of what I read today.

    I can: Review finding main idea and supporting details in a text.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Read a book for 20 minutes.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and select the May 11, 2020 weekly reading log.  Complete today's entry with title, author, page numbers read and 2-3 sentence summary.  It is Friday so turn this in today!

    3. Log into Google Classroom and find the assignment "Reading for the week of May 11"  

    4. Click the link to News ELA and login using your Google Login

    5. Read the article 1-2 times (it is the same article from yesterday)

    6. Complete the quiz activity

    Work to be turned in:

    1.  Reading log entry.

    2. News ELA quiz activity

     

    Writing

    I can:  Answer the journal question assigned in my weekly journal.

    I can: Complete any late spelling city activities

     Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Log into Google Classroom.

    2. Find the assignment "Writing for the Week of May 11" and watch the video if you need to be reminded of some free choice writing ideas.

    3.  Complete the last journal assignment by taking a picture of your plants and writing down what you observed.

    4. DO NOT TURN IN the doc.  Message Mrs. Palleschi through hangouts that you are done and ready for it to be checked over.

    5. Be sure you have logged into Spelling City and have completed any late activities

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Wednesday's journal entry needs to be completed and turn in the document today!

     

    Math

    I can: Practice my basic facts on Moby Fact Fluency.

    I can: Find area and perimeter of parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Clever and click Moby.  Go to Fact Fluency and complete your 5 minutes.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and find the assignment "May 13 Math" and watch the video of Mrs. Palleschi reviewing the skills

    3.  Complete the Google Form Lesson Check

    4. Pick a game time and join in for math games.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Moby Fact Fluency
    2. Google Form
    3. Join for Game Time at either 10:30 am or 2:30 pm.

    Science - This is the same as yesterday in case you didn't finish, but if you did, then you are done!

    I can: Learn about the similarities and differences between plants and animals.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Google Classroom.

    2. Read pages 128-133  and answer the questions.  

    3.  Complete the Google Form

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Read the book

     Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Log into Google Classroom.

    2. Find the assignment "Tuesday, May 12 Writing" and watch the video for how to use the premade presentation in Slides

    3.  Complete the Slides presentation

    4. Go to Spelling City and Log in to complete any work that needs to be done.  If you don't see anything, check with Mrs. Palleschi before assuming you are done.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Google Slides Presentation

    2. Spelling City Assignments if not done.

     

    Math

    I can: Practice my basic facts on Moby Fact Fluency.

    I can: Use PEMDAS to create answers 1-10 in a game called Bowling with Numbers.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Clever and click Moby.  Go to Fact Fluency and complete your 5 minutes.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and click our Meet link at the top for our game at either 10:30 am or 2:30 pm.

    3.  Complete any late work you have in Moby or Classroom.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Moby Fact Fluency
    2. Any late work

    Science

    3. Log into Google Classroom and find the assignment " May 11 Reading"  

    4. Watch the video in the assignment.

    5. Click the link to News ELA and login using your Google Login

    6. Read the article 2-3 times

    Work to be turned in:

    1.  Reading log entry.

    2. News ELA activities and submit the assignment through Google Classroom.

     

    Writing

     Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Log into Google Classroom.

    2. Find the assignment "Writing for the Week of May 11" and watch the video about our writing assignments from here to the end of the year.

    3.  Complete a 2-3 paragraph about how your seeds are growing and include a picture.

    4. DO NOT TURN IN the doc.  Message Mrs. Palleschi through hangouts that you are done and ready for it to be checked over.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Monday's journal entry needs to be completed.  The document and assignment will not be completed until May 11 so DO NOT TURN IT IN YET!

     

    Math

    Steps of the Lesson:

    3.  Go back to Moby and complete the Moby Lesson on Area of Trapezoids Part 2

    Science

    I can: Learn about adaptations of plants

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Google Classroom.

    2. Click on the Google Meet link in the header at 2:30 pm.  I will answer any science questions you have and go over the highlights.  The meet is helpful for your assignments the next 2 days in Moby but it is not mandatory.  It is EXTRA CREDIT!

    3. Read pages 128 - 133 and answer the questions.  They will help you with your journal writing this week.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Attend the Google Meet.

    2.  Read the book to help with tomorrow's assignment.
