    ELEMENTARY PROGRAMS
     
    Begins on Monday, June 14, 2021 and ends on Friday, July 9, 2021.
    Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 12:30pm
    Location: Lake Hills Elementary School
     
    KINDERGARTEN COUNTDOWN
    FOR INCOMING KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS! 
    Kindergarten Countdown is a summer program that helps children who will be attending kindergarten for the first time next fall feel more comfortable in the school environment. Students will be introduced to reading and math concepts, classroom routines, and will meet new friends!

    Please note, students must be enrolled in Michigan City Area Schools in order to participate.
    Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis. You will be contacted if your child is eligible to participate.

    Literacy & Math and Computer Science Camps (Students Entering Grades 1-6) 
     A summer camp experience to promote and enhance student learning.  For students entering grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6. We are offering sessions in Reading & Math as well as a Computer Science camp (grades 3-6 only).
    Note: Computer Science camp for grades 3 and 4 will take place from Monday June 14th until Friday June 25th at Lake Hills.  The 5th and 6th grades will have their 2-week camp from June 28th Monday, until Friday, July 9th at Lake Hills.

    K-12 PROGRAM for ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS
     
    STEM Summer Camp (for Students Enrolled in our ELL Program K-12) 
    July 12 - 16, 2021
    8:30am -12:30pm
    Location: Lake Hills Elementary School
     
    Breakfast, lunch, and Transportation provided!
     A week-long summer camp experience to promote and enhance student learning. Students will be building robots, coding, and problem solving with their team.  
     
    If you are interested in this program, please contact Shannon Chavis at schavis@mcas.k12.in.us to find out if you're eligible! 

    Please note, this camp is only available to MCAS ELL (English Language Learners) students.
    Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Location: Michigan City High School
     
    TURNTABLING for Students Entering Grades 7 & 8 
    Students will have hands-on opportunities to connect music, STEM education, and Technology through hands-on learning.

    Location: Michigan City High School
