    2. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Instructional Video: Figurative Language. Watch the video to learn more about figurative language from your favorite 5th grade teachers. :) (17 mins)
    3. I-Ready: Figurative Language - You have been assigned a Reading Lesson in your I-Ready Pathways. Log in and complete the “teacher assigned lesson.” Send your score to Mrs. McMeans in GoGuradian. (24 mins)
    4. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Read Aloud: Hoot Chapter 19. Listen to the chapter being read aloud. (11 mins)
    5. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Google Form: Hoot Chapter 19. Complete and submit the Google Form. (10 mins)

    Today’s Math Work Checklist (20 minutes to complete)

    I can... Find volumes of solid figures composed of two non-overlapping right rectangular prisms by adding the volumes of the non-overlapping parts, applying this technique to solve real-world problems and other mathematical problems. (5.M.6)

    1. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Instructional video: Find Volume of Composite Figures. In this instructional video you will use what we’ve already learned about volume and take it one step further. Mrs. McMeans will go through the introduction and the guided instruction of this lesson in your instruction book. You will find this on pages 276-279. Please follow along and complete the pages in your text. Take notes in your book if you hear something that you think will help you. (20 mins)

    1. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Video of the Rest of Making Bombs for Hitler. Watch the video, and listen to the story being read aloud. Please note that this video is 1 hour and 20 minutes long. We do NOT expect you to watch the entire video today! It is fine if you'd rather watch it in sections and finish it by the end of the school week. When you are finished with the entire video, complete and submit the Google Form. (1 hour 20 mins)
    2. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Grade 6 ELA - Speaking and Learning - New Van Gogh Painting. Click on the link, and complete the Edcite assignment. (30 mins)
    3. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Final Powerpoint Project. Work on finishing up your final version of your Powerpoint, which will be counted as a test grade. Submit it by Wednesday 4/22/20. (30 mins)
