    • APPLIED LANGUAGE ARTS Periods One and Eight

    I can...use my listening comprehension skills to answer questions about the reading

    I can...read and spell the 2nd list of Sight Words assigned in Spelling City

    Lesson Description

    You will listen to your teacher as she reads Chapter 4 from the book The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein. 

    You will complete your Spelling City assignment by 3/31/20 and register for the spelling test with Mrs. Patterson.

    3/30/20 New book: The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein

    The students will listen to a screencast of their teacher reading Chapter 7 of The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein. Students should also finish their Spelling City Assignments if it has not already been completed.

    Steps of the Language Arts Lesson:  

    1. Please go to Google Classrooms Applied Language Arts and view the screencast made by the teacher. Leave me a comment about what you think Elizabeth will find when she gets to the top of the ladder.
    2. Continue work on Spelling City Assignment - get prepared for your individual spelling test with Mrs. Patterson on 4/1/20
    3. Prepare to attend a Google Meet which is required on 3/31/20 at 1:00 p.m. I have exciting news about the book we are reading.

    •    APPLIED MATH Periods Two and Seven

    Lesson Description

    You will review how to read and write simple fractions through the use of Khan Academy.

    3/30/20 Learning to Read and Write Simple Fractions

    Steps of the Algebra I, II, & Geometry Lesson:  

    1. Please go to Google Classrooms Applied Algebra I & II, Geometry and follow the directions to access Mrs. Patterson's class on Khan Academy.
    2. You will complete videos that will teach or review how to read and write simple fractions.
    3. You will complete some on-line quiz elements within the assignment. 
    4. Prepare to attend a Google Meet which is required on 3/31/20 at 1:00 p.m.

    Work to be turned in: Your attendance and grades will be recorded in Google Classroom once you have submitted your assignments.

     

     

    •  APPLIED BIOLOGY AND EARTH/SPACE SCIENCE Period Three

    I can...learn about dinosaur fossils found around the world

    Lesson Description

    Students will look at the bread experiment they began last week and note any changes to the bread.

      2. Watch the video in Edpuzzle and answer the question at the end of the video.

    • APPLIED US HISTORY/GEOGRAPHY Period Four 

    I can ...describe the four major geographical barriers to China and name the two major rivers running through China

    Lesson Description

    You will watch a short video on Geography in China and answer three multiple-choice questions about what you heard.

    2. Watch the video on the geographical barriers to China and answer three multiple-choice questions at the end of the video.

    • PEER TUTORS Periods Two, Three, Four, and Seventh

           I can...wrtie an email and check in with Mrs. Patterson

             Lesson Description

    You will demonstrate an understanding of following simple instructions.

      • Go to your Google Classroom and look at the assignment under RESPONSIBILITY.
      • Send an email to Mrs. Patterson explaining why you have or have not been doing your assignments as a peer tutor. 
      • Be prepared to be assigned a student or students who you will be assigned to follow up with. 

      Work to be turned in: Your work will be submitted in Google Classroom.
