    1. 9:15 a.m In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Check in: Mini Lesson Monday to review some math we have done this year. Make sure you come to the meet with paper and a pencil.
    2. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Instruction Video: Jim Abbott. Watch the Screencastify video. In this video, Mrs. McMeans will introduce Jim Abbott and share the connections to Jackie Robinson and our last unit. (20 mins)
    3. Independent Reading - Set a timer for 20 minutes and read your AR book.. After you have read for 20 minutes, write a letter in your Reading Response Letter packet. It should be Letter #10. Record your text title and a summary of your reading for the day. This should be AT LEAST 1 paragraph. (30 mins)
    4. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Read Aloud: Hoot Chapter 14 Part 2. Listen to the chapter being read aloud. (6 mins)
    5. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Google Form: Hoot Chapter 14 Part 2. Complete and submit the Google Form. (10 mins)

    I can…Find the volume of a right rectangular prism with whole-number side lengths by packing it with unit cubes, and show that the volume is the same as would be found by multiplying the edge lengths or multiplying the height by the area of the base. (5.M.4)

    1. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Math Instruction Video: Finding Volume with Unit Cubes. Watch the Screencastify video. In this video, I will go through today’s math lesson. Follow along in your Math Instruction Books, pages 256-257. You should be completing this work in your book as we work through the lesson. (20 mins)
    2. Practice finding volume using this Minecraft Volume Game. Click HERE for the game. You may have to click the middle of the game to run the flash player. Then, select allow. (15 mins)

Use variables to represent two quantities in a proportional relationship in a real-world problem; write an equation to express one quantity, the dependent variable, in terms of the other quantity, the independent variable. Analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables using graphs and tables, and relate these to the equation. (6.AF.10)

    1. In Google Classroom, click on the assignment called Lesson 21: Dependent and Independent Variables, pages 234-235. Watch the Screencastify video and complete pages 234-235 in your math instruction books. You can find a PDF of these pages under the assignment if you don't have your book at home.
