    ***Whole Class Google Meet for CREW is at 1:30 pm.  Please be on time and we will begin reading the Julian Chapter from Auggie and Me for CREW and Second Steps.

    Reading

    I can: Read a book at my level for 20 minutes and complete a 2-3 sentence summary of what I read today.

    I can: Go to my iReady learning pathway and complete lessons for 45 minutes or more with a pass rate of 80% or better to meet my specific learning needs.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Read a book for 20 minutes.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and select the March 30, 2020 weekly reading log.  Complete today's entry with title, author, page numbers read and 2-3 sentence summary.  It is Friday so turn this in today!

    3.  Go to Clever and log into iReady and choose your reading pathway to complete your auto assigned lessons.

    4. Finish any work from the beginning of the week.

    Work to be turned in:

    1.  Reading log entry.

    2. iReady minutes

    3. Anything that needed to still be turned in from Monday to Thursdays work.

    Writing

    I can:  Follow any edits Mrs. P made and turn in my persuasive essay.

    I can: Show proficiency with my List 23 Spelling Words by taking a spelling test in Spelling City.

     Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Go to Google Classroom and click on your doc.  Look for any edit suggestions and take care of them according to your preferences as the author.

    2. Go to my Learning Place and click on Spelling City.  Be sure to now click Log in and use your Google Log in to find the assignment for List 23.  

    3. Complete the list of activities and take the test.  It will send your score to me now if you log into Spelling City.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Persuasive Essay in Classroom.

    2. Spelling Test List 22 in Spelling City.

     

    Math

    I can: Practice my basic facts on Moby Fact Fluency.

    I can: Show proficiency with understanding volume and calculating volume with unit cubes in composite figures.

    I can: Complete my 45 minutes of my iReady Math learning pathway with a passing rate of 80% or better to meet my specific learning needs.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Clever and click Moby.  Go to Fact Fluency and complete your 5 minutes.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and complete the two math quiz in Google Forms for Lesson 27

    3. Log into Clever and click iReayd.  Go to your math learning pathway to complete your minutes.

    Science

    I can: Finish any of my work for the week as nothing new is assigned.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Google Classroom.

    2. Click on Classwork at the very top and then click on Science on the left side of the screen.

    3.  Check all of your assignments for science for the week including in Pearson and your book to be sure thye are done.

    1. Any work from the beginning of the week that still needed to be completed.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and select the March 30, 2020 weekly reading log.  Complete today's entry with title, author, page numbers read and 2-3 sentence summary.  It is Friday so turn this in today!

    3. Log into Clever and go to Moby and click on your assignments tab.

    4. Complete the Moby lesson in your assignments tab called "Multiple Sources".

    Writing

    I can:  Use my spelling words in a sentence with correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and meaning of the word.

    I can: Use a RAFT and prewrite for a persuasive essay on uniforms to write a meaningful conclusion. Be ready to have Mrs. Palleschi contact you via hangouts for editing or just progress meeting.  

     Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Log into Google Classroom and find the assignment "Writing for the Week of March 30"

    2. Watch the video from Mrs. Palleschi introducing the topic and reteaching RAFT if needed or if you didn't yesterday.

    3. Read the articles to make sure your evidence is best suited for your opinion and write your introduction.  3-4 sentences at most with a three-prong thesis statement at the end.  

    4. Then go to Google Classroom and write a sentence for every word on the list in the document provided for "April 02 Spelling List 23 Sentences".

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Private message Mrs. Palleschi in the Google Classroom assignment when you have completed the conclusion.

    Math

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Log into Moby and complete fact fluency and then click on your assignments tab.  

    2. Find the lesson on Volume and complete it. Take your time and you may need to show your work on a separate sheet of paper since these are word problems.

    3.  All PPS pages for the week were assigned as of Wednesday so just make sure they are all done and you have pictures taken for your document.

    4. Be sure all guided practice pages have been completed and uploaded if not finish them.

    Work to be turned in:

    1.  Moby lesson.

    2. Insert pictures of the PPS pages into the turn in document and turn in.

    Science

    I can: Discovery what is technology and how it helps provide a solution to some problems of daily life.

    Steps of the Lesson:

     Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Log into Google Classroom and find the assignment "Writing for the Week of March 23"

    2. Watch the video about how to write a persuasive paper.

    3. Read the articles to make sure your evidence is best suited for your opinion and write your 3 body paragraphs.  Each paragraph should have an introductory sentence and be 4-6 sentences long.

    4.  Go to Mrs. Palleschi's Learning Place and Spelling City.  Find List 23 and get the word list and play one of the games.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Private message Mrs. Palleschi in the Google Classroom assignment when you have completed the body.

    2. Practice Spelling List 22 in Spelling City.

    1.  Log into Google Classroom and find the assignment "Writing for the Week of March 30"

    2. Read the articles to make sure your evidence is best suited for your opinion and write your introduction.  3-4 sentences at most with a three-prong thesis statement at the end.

    3.  Log into Google Classroom and go to the assignment "Rainbow Words for List 23"

    4.  An example is given in the Google Doc and you can either take a photo of paper or go outside and do your rainbow words with sidewalk chalk.

    3.  Go to Pearson Success Net and use the questions from the book to answer the questions on the screen.  You will be able to watch or complete experiments in the lesson too.

    4. Watch the video in the assignment and complete the book work.

    2. Find the assignment "Writing for the Week of March 30".

    3.  Watch the video about how to RAFT a topic and how to write a persuasive paper.  

    4.  Read the two attached articles and form an opinion about the topic.

    5. Complete the RAFT and 4-square prewrite.

    6. DO NOT TURN IN the doc.  Message Mrs. Palleschi through hangouts that you are done and ready for it to be checked over.

    I can: Use overlapping areas to help understand the concept of calculating the volume of composite figures.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Clever and click Moby.  Go to Fact Fluency and complete your 5 minutes.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and find the assignment "March 30 Math" and watch the video of Mrs. Palleschi reviewing composite area and then applying that to calculating the volume of composite figures.

    3.  Complete PPS pg 299-300 and upload to the Google Doc in Classroom "Practice and Problem Solving Turning for Week of March 30".

    Science

    I can: Attend a live Google Meet for science on Chapter 2, lesson 3 to learn more about the design process and our robot challenge.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    2. Find the "March 30 Science" lesson to find the link to the Google Meet at 2:15 pm.

    3. In the same assignment, you will find directions for your robot challenge.
