    I can use onomatopoeia in my writing.


    • Get some writing supplies such as paper, pen, pencil, and a hard surface to write on.

    1. Watch  Writing lesson with Michelle Cusolito  until the writing

    assignment, about 7:00 minutes.   Pause the video while you listen to sounds around you and write down your observations.

    • Listen to the next part of the video and see if you want to edit your work.

    Work to turn in:

    Be prepared to share an example from your list you made today while listening to sounds.



    I Can...

    Understand the concept of a number line used in creating number plots.

    Compare a number line to a tape measure.

    Explore the structure of a line plot.


    • You need a pencil, two pieces of blank paper, and a ruler.  We gave every student a ruler before we left school. Watch and work along with me in the opening activity.
    • In your Math Instruction book, turn to page 234 and watch the video.
    • Look at page 235 and watch the video.
