  • When we have E-Learning for the week of March 23, 2020, this is where you will go to work.  Each extended E-learning week will have a different page to help you keep track of what needs to be completed.

    ***Whole Class Google Meet for CREW is at 1:30 pm.  Please be on time and we will begin reading the Julian Chapter from Auggie and Me for CREW and Second Steps.

    ***Google Meet for Math Help (this could include reading the quiz) at 11:00 am

     

    Reading

    I can: Read a book at my level for 20 minutes and complete a 2-3 sentence summary of what I read today.

    I can: Go to my iReady learning pathway and complete lessons for 45 minutes or more with a pass rate of 80% or better to meet my specific learning needs.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Read a book for 20 minutes.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and select the March 23, 2020 weekly reading log.  Complete today's entry with title, author, page numbers read and 2-3 sentence summary.  It is Friday so turn this in today!

    3.  Go to Clever and log into iReady and choose your reading pathway to complete your auto assigned lessons.

    4. Finish any work from the beginning of the week.

    Work to be turned in:

    1.  Reading log entry.

    2. iReady minutes

    3. Anything that needed to still be turned in from Monday to Thursdays work.

    Writing

    I can:  Follow any edits Mrs. P made and turn in my persuasive essay.

    I can: Show proficiency with my List 22 Spelling Words by taking a spelling test in Spelling City.

     Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Go to Google Classroom and click on your doc.  Look for any edit suggestions and take care of them according to your preferences as the author.

    2. Go to my Learning Place and click on Spelling City.  Choose list 21 and Spelling Test Me.  Either screen shot your score and send it to me through Google Hangouts or let me know when you are done so I can look in Go Guardian. 

    3. Or you can go to Google Classroom because I put a link directly to the spelling test in there.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Persuasive Essay in Classroom.

    2. Spelling Test List 22 in Spelling City.

     

    Math

    I can: Practice my basic facts on Moby Fact Fluency.

    I can: Show proficiency with understanding volume and calculating volume with unit cubes.

    I can: Complete my 45 minutes of my iReady Math learning pathway with a passing rate of 80% or better to meet my specific learning needs.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Clever and click Moby.  Go to Fact Fluency and complete your 5 minutes.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and complete the two math quizzes in Google Forms for Lessons 24 and 25.

    3. Log into Clever and click iReayd.  Go to your math learning pathway to complete your minutes.

    Work to be turned in:

    Science

    I can: Finish any of my work for the week

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Google Classroom.

    2. Click on Classwork at the very top and then click on Science on the left side of the screen.

    3.  Check all of your assignments for science for the week including in Pearson and your book to be sure thye are done.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Any work from the beginning of the week that still needed to be completed.

    2. Log into Google Classroom and select the March 23, 2020 weekly reading log.  Complete today's entry with title, author, page numbers read and 2-3 sentence summary.  It is Friday so turn this in today!

    3. Log into Clever and go to iReady Reading.

    4. Complete the lesson in your assigned pathway (I believe it is blue) about Compare and Contrast Characters. The lesson should take about 41 minutes it said.

    I can:  Learn how suffixes -ment, -ful, and -less change the meaning of the root word in Spelling City List 22

    I can: Use a RAFT and prewrite for a persuasive letter to Mr. Huber about keeping or getting rid of chocolate milk at lunch to write a meaningful conclusion. Be ready to have Mrs. Palleschi contact you via hangouts for editing or just progress meeting.  

     Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Log into Google Classroom and find the assignment "Writing for the Week of March 23"

    2. Watch the video from Mrs. Palleschi introducing the topic and reteaching RAFT if needed or if you didn't yesterday.

    3. Read the articles to make sure your evidence is best suited for your opinion and write your introduction.  3-4 sentences at most with a three-prong thesis statement at the end.

    4.  Go to Spelling City and get your word list for lesson 22.  

    5. Then go to Google Classroom and write a sentence for every word on the list in the document provided for "March 26 Spelling List 22 Sentences".

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Private message Mrs. Palleschi in the Google Classroom assignment when you have completed the conclusion.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Log into Moby and complete fact fluency and then click on your assignments tab.  

    2. Find the lesson on Volume and complete it. Take your time and you may need to show your work on a separate sheet of paper since these are word problems.

    3.  All PPS pages for the week were assigned as of Wednesday so just make sure they are all done and you have pictures taken for your document.

    4. Complete the guided and indpendent practice on pages 272-275 of your Instruction Ready Math book. 

    Work to be turned in:

    1.  Moby lesson.

    2. Insert pictures of the PPS pages into the turn in document and turn in.

    Science

    I can: Discovery what is technology and how it helps provide a solution to some problems of daily life.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Read chapter 2 lesson 2

    2. Answer the book questions as you go #1-7.

    3. Go to Pearson Success Net and use the questions from the book to answer the questions on the screen.  You will be able to watch or complete experiments in the lesson too.

    4. Go to Classroom and complete the Google Form on Chapter 2 Lesson 2. 

    5. If you didn't attend the whole group meet for science, watch yesterday's recording of it.

    2. Watch the video about how to write a persuasive paper.

    3. Read the articles to make sure your evidence is best suited for your opinion and write your 3 body paragraphs.  Each paragraph should have an introductory sentence and be 4-6 sentences long.

    4.  Go to Mrs. Palleschi's Learning Place and Spelling City.  Find List 22 and get the word list and play one of the games.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Private message Mrs. Palleschi in the Google Classroom assignment when you have completed the body.

    2. Practice Spelling List 22 in Spelling City.
