    • APPLIED LANGUAGE ARTS Periods One and Eight

    I can...review lessons from the week and complete all work not yet completed.

    Lesson Description

    You will listen to your teacher as she introduces a new book to the class and reads from the book The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein. You will complete any assignments you have not yet completed.

    3/20/20 New book: The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein

    The students will listen to a screencast of their teacher reading The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein. After listening to the reading the students were to answer questions in the assignment.

    Steps of the Language Arts Lesson:  

    1. If you have missed any eLearning assignments, please go to Google Classrooms Applied Language Arts and view the screencasts made by the teacher. 
    2. Please make sure you have submitted all answers for each assignment.
    3. Remember to submit your answer to get your daily participation points.
    4. If you have not missed any eLearning assignments, get the reading log from your pink folder and either read something to someone else or have someone read to you and complete the log. This will be counted as extra credit.

    Work to be turned in: Your attendance and grades will be recorded in Google Classroom once you have submitted your assignments.

    •    APPLIED MATH Periods Two and Seven

    Lesson Description

    You will learn how to use a ruler to measure items to within a 1/16th of an inch using scaffolding lessons from 1 inch down to 1/2 of an inch.

    Steps of the Algebra I, II, & Geometry Lesson:  

    1. If you have missed any eLearning assignments, please go to Google Classrooms Applied Algebra I & II, Geometry and view the screencasts and assignments made by the teacher. 
    2. Please make sure you have submitted all answers for each assignment.
    3. Remember to submit your answer to get your daily participation points.
    4. If you have not missed any eLearning assignments, get a measurement worksheet from your pink folder and complete the measurements as instructed.  This will be counted as extra credit.

    Work to be turned in: Your attendance and grades will be recorded in Google Classroom once you have submitted your assignments.

     

     

    •  APPLIED BIOLOGY AND EARTH/SPACE SCIENCE Period Three

    2. Please make sure you have submitted all the answers for each assignment.
    3. Remember to submit your answer to get your daily participation points.
    4. If you have not missed any eLearning assignments, get a history/geography news worksheet from your pink folder, watch a news program about history or geography and complete the form. This will be counted as extra credit.

    • PEER TUTORS Periods Two, Three, Four, and Seventh

           I can...research and write a 20 minute lesson plan for the students I work with.

             Lesson Description

    You will demonstrate an understanding of the students you serve in the self-contained classroom and their academic struggles.

    • 3/17/20-3/23/20 Research and Write a Differentiated Lesson Plan
    • Steps of the Lesson:

      • Think about the class you assist in: Language Arts, Math, Painting, Biology, or US History and think of a lesson you would like to present to the students in that subject area
      • Research lesson plans that would be appropriate for the age group but at a differentiated grade level (think 3rd grade information or materials)
      • Write a lesson plan that would last 20 minutes and cover material they are currently learning
      • Make a screencastify of yourself teaching the lesson

      Work to be turned in: Your work will be submitted in Google Classroom.
