E-Learning Day: Tuesday, March 17, 2020

  • Happy Tuesday and Happy St. Patrick's Day! Here are all of today's assignments. You complete these assignments through Google Classroom. I posted an agenda of today's assignments for you on Google Classroom. Use this as a check list so you complete all of your assignments. If you have any questions, make sure to write a comments on the assignments on Google Classroom. You can also contact me though Class Dojo or email me at jrussell@mcas.k12.in.us  Remember to turn in all your work today!

    Steps of the Lesson:

    2. Complete the Google Form titled: eLearning 3/17/2020 - Greeting


    Work to be turned in: Completed Google Form (5 minutes)


    I can... compare and contrast key details in two texts on the same topic.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Go to our Google Classroom page.

    2. Complete the Edulastic assignment on comparing texts. The assignment is titled is eLearning 3/17/2020 - Reading. Remember to sign in with Google.


    Work to be turned in: Turn in assignment though Edulastic (30 minutes).

    Read 2 Self

    I can... read text at grade level to help improve my fluency, comprehension, and stamina.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Grab your AR book or a book from home.

    2. Find a quiet place inside or outside to read.

    3. Read for 20 minutes.  If you finish a book, let Mr. Russell know.


    Work to be turned in: None (20 minutes)

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Log onto Xtramath.com and work for 10 minutes. Remember to sign in with Google.


    Work to be turned in: None - work for 10 minutes on XtraMath.com (10 minutes)



    I can... write an opinion paper while using correct word choice, punctuation and capitalization.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1.  Go to our Google Classroom page. 

    2.  Use the list of Pros and Cons you made yesterday to write two (2) paragraphs. The first paragraph will be your PRO paragraph and your second paragraph will be your CON paragraph. Each paragraph needs 5-6 sentences. Remember that each paragraph needs to start with a topic sentence and a closing sentence (to wrap it up).  Use will do this in the Google Form titled eLearning 3/17/2020 - writing.


    Work to be turned in: Pros and Cons paragraphs on Google Forms (30 minutes)
