Chromebook Distribution - 2019-20 School Year
Chromebook Consent/Insurance Form
It is highly recommended that all students purchase the $30/year insurance to cover two major damages to the Chromebook.
Students entering grades 8, 9, 11, and 12 are expected to bring their Chromebook first day of school. Insurance for the 2019-20 school year is available by completing the consent/insurance form; checks should be given to your school treasurer or secretary.
Students entering grades 4, 5, and 6 will receive their Chromebooks once classes resume. If you change elementary schools, a Chromebook will be made available to you in your new school.
Students entering grade 7 at Barker may pick up their Chromebook at the Barker Back to School event on Monday, August 12th from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm. If the Chromebook is not picked up at this time, one will be available on the first day of school. Parents must sign the Chromebook Consent/Insurance form in order for your student to receive a Chromebook.
Students entering grade 7 at Krueger will receive their Chromebook at school on Friday, August 16. Please have the Chromebook Consent/Insurance form completed. One will be sent home with your child the first day.
Students entering grade 10 may pick up their Chromebook with a completed Chromebook Consent form at the high school any time during normal operation hours, 8:00 am - 2:30 pm. Chromebooks will be available for pick up during lunch hours as well once classes resume.
All new students will receive their Chromebooks once enrolled, when classes resume.
Any student not returning to MCAS for School Year 2019-20 must return the Chromebook to the school asap. If a student withdraws and a Chromebook is not returned, an invoice will be sent to the parent. Damage fees or lost Chromebook fees will be assessed.
Please note that Parent Consent Forms are required for all students when Chromebooks are issued (this year, this is for students entering grades 4, 7, and 10). You must complete this form even if you are not purchasing insurance.
