  • When we have E-Learning days, this will be where students go to see what work they will complete.  Students will have 3 days to complete the assigned work and turn it in.  E-Learning days are in place of snow days.

    March 02, 2020 E-Learning Work Due on March 05, 2020

    I can: Read an article about the Selma March.  It will give us another article to prep us to read Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom.

    I can: Read a book of my choosing at my level and complete an AR test the next day.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Go to my learning place.
    2. Click on Clever and login.
    3. Go to Google Classroom and open the assignment called "March 02 News ELA Article".
    4. Click the link to News ELA and click sign in using your Google Login.
    5. Read for 20-30 minutes.  An AR test, will follow when we return to check comprehension.
    6. Check Done on all reading activities in your checklist along with the score for your News ELA quiz on Google Classroom.

    Writing

    I can: Use a quality internet source to research my famous African American and will complete my outline that was started last week.

    2. Click on the Google Classroom assignment to start working on your outline for your famous African American.
    3. Check done on your Checklist through Google Classroom.

    I can: practice my basic facts on Moby.

    I can: Practice and apply converting units of customary and metric units of measurement to prepare for a math quiz.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Moby Max and complete your fact fluency for the day. 
    2. Complete the guided and independent practice in your math instruction book that was sent home on Friday.  You need to compete pages 224-227. 

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Complete your fact fluency and Moby lessons.
    2. Complete your checklist.
    3. Your math book work pages 224-227.  

    Social Studies

    I can: Read and discover new information about how the American Revolution reached its turning point in the war allowing the colonists to defeat Great Britain.

     I can: Apply RAFT to a prompt about being a news reporter during the American Revolution.

    2. Click on your assignments tab in Moby and complete the two math lessons with the Nov 8 due date.  One is on rounding decimals and the other word problems with division.

    I can: Read a book of my choosing at my level and provide a summary of what I have read including the main characters, plot line, setting and theme if applicable.  If reading a chapter book, I can summarize just the part that I read to show I did read.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Go to my learning place.
    2. Click on Clever and login.
    3. Go to Classroom and find the News ELA link. Submit when done.
    4. Go back to Classroom and click the assignment titled "January 23 Reading E-Learning".  Complete the Goggle Doc to prove you read today. 

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Complete your written repsonse question on Google Classroom and submit.  
    2. Read for 20-30 minutes and make sure you complete your reading log.  An AR test, will follow when we return to check comprehension.

    Writing

    I can: Spell my spelling words correctly.

     

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Go to Spelling City and find List 6.  
    2. Click on Spell Test Me.
    3. Complete the spelling test and send Mrs. Palleschi your score via private message on Google Classroom.
    4. Check done on your Checklist through Google Classroom.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Complete the spelling test and send private message to Mrs. Palleschi.
    2. Checklist to be turned in when all work done.

    Math

    I can: practice my basic facts on Moby.

    I can: Multiply 3 digit times 2 digit numbers using different strategies.

    Steps of the Lesson:

    1. Log into Moby Max and complete your fact fluency for the day. 
    2. Complete the math guided and indpendent practice pages in your instruction book on pages 44-47.

    Work to be turned in:

    1. Complete your fact fluency, Moby lesson, and iReady lesson.
    2. Guided and Independent Practice pages for lesson 5 today.
