    Safe Harbor Out-of-School Time Programming

    The Safe Harbor administrative team is working hard to design a before and after school program re-entry plan for the 2020-2021 school year utilizing a combination of in-person and virtual programming. The re-entry plan will be finalized at the end of July.

    Safe Harbor provides high quality enrichment programming and with dedicated academic support to MCAS elementary, middle, and high school students between the hours of 3:00 and 6:00 pm. 

      
    Elementary After School Enrichment
    3:00-6:00 pm Monday- Friday
    Knapp, Edgewood, Joy, Lake Hills, Marsh, Coolspring
    $20.00 per month per student
     
    Elementary Before School Care
    6:00-8:30 am Monday- Friday
    Knapp, Edgewood, Joy, Lake Hills, Marsh
    $2.00 per hour per child
    Financial assistance available by application
     
     
    Middle School Club Discovery 
    2:15-5:30 pm Monday- Thursday
     Barker & Krueger Middle Schools 
    $5.00 per year per student
     
    High School Club Inspire
    2:15-5:30
    Michigan City High School
    5.00 per year per student
     
     Transportation is available home by a MCAS school bus for the Middle and High School students after the program.

    Safe Harbor is proud to be a 21st Century Community Learning Center and to partner with Michigan City Area Schools, Lubeznik Center for the Arts, Hours for Ours LaPorte County YMCA, Dunebrook Nurturing Parents, Boy Scouts of America, Purdue University Northwest,  the Michigan City Public Library, Michigan City Boys and Girls Club, Museum of Science and Industry, and Challenger Learning Center.
     
    We are proud to announce video journals created by current students using network cameras to develop a teaching format for future students. See IP Cameras for more details.
