    Safe Harbor Out-of-School Time Programming
    A 21st Century Community Learning Center

    Safe Harbor is an out-of-school time program
    which inspires excellence in leadership
    and academic skills of students through
    collaboration with families, school officials
    and community partners.

    Safe Harbor provides an educational environment that is inclusive, engaging, holistic, and culturally responsive. 

    All Michigan City students are eligible for participation.

      
    Elementary and PreK After School Enrichment
    3:00-6:00 pm Monday- Friday
    Knapp, Edgewood, Joy, Lake Hills, Marsh, Coolspring, Little Wolves
    $30.00 per month per student
     
    Elementary Before School Care
    6:00-8:30 am Monday- Friday
    Morning care is available at Knapp, Joy, Marsh, and Edgewood schools. Spots are very limited.
    $1.50 per half-hour per child
    Financial assistance available by application

     Barker & Krueger Middle Schools 
     
    Free Service.
     
    Transportation home from Club Discovery at 5:00 PM is available for students in the bus area beginning after Labor Day.

    Safe Harbor is proud to be a 21st Century Community Learning Center and to partner with Michigan City Area Schools,
    Lubeznik Center for the Arts, and the Michigan City Public Library
     
    No student will be denied Safe Harbor services based on lack of payment. We appreciate your monthly contribution to the sustainability of Safe Harbor. Fee collection is directly linked to the Safe Harbor overall budget. Therefore, fee collection is essential to the program’s sustainability.
