      I can...analyze the development of a central idea over the course of a text, including its relationship to supporting ideas; provide a detailed, objective summary of the text.

      I can...analyze how a text makes connections and distinctions among individuals, events, and ideas.

      Standard: 

      8.RN.2.1, 8.RN.2.2, 8.RN.3.2

       

      1. Go to Google Classroom.
      2. Click the “classwork” tab on the top bar.

      3. Locate the E-Learning topic section and find the assignment for today (2/13/2020).

      4. Open the Google Doc titled "E-Learning 2/13/2020. 

      5. This link will take you to CommonLit.org.

      6. If you are new to CommonLit, Click the "Log in with Clever" button and proceed to log in with Clever.

      7. A page may prompt you to "Update your account." Please type in your school password on each line and proceed to log in. 
      8. When you have logged in, you need to go to "My Assignments" and locate article titled, "Mexican Migrant Workers in the 20th Century." 

      9. Your assignment is to read the article (you can also have it read to you by clicking the blue "Read Aloud" button) and answer the questions on the side. When you are done, submit it! Be sure to answer the questions in complete sentences!

      1. Log into quizizz, make sure to enter your full name and block number.
      2. Enter the quiz code: 929220
      3. Make sure to answer all 10 questions and submit your quiz.
