• Welcome to Mrs. Dilling's 4th Grade Classroom at Pine Elementary School

Welcome to a new school year. I am looking forward to having your child in my classroom this school year. This is going to be a year filled with many learning opportunities, successes, challenges, experiences, and growth for your child. Parents play a very important role in their child's education. Your support and guidance are greatly appreciated.

I feel that the classroom is a small community, so we will be working together to create a positive environment through CREW, class norms, expectations, and classroom rules. I will be using Class Dojo as a behavior/academic resource to monitor students as well as a way to communicate with parents.

I have posted some links to useful websites that we will be using under my class information tab on my teacher's website. Websites can also be found on the MCAS webpage under Learning Place. We will be using Schoology, Google Classroom, PowerSchool, ILC Math, Illuminate, and MobyMax this year.  eLearning assignments for Early Release and inclement weather days can be accessed through Schoology.

Feel free to contact me at any time through Class Dojo, email- cdilling@mcas.k12.in.us, or 219 873-2114 ext. 6822.

    Thank you,
    Cathy Dilling

  • Meet the Teacher
    Hi,
Welcome to 4th grade! My name is Cathy Dilling. I was born and raised in Michigan City and have lived here for most of my life. I have been teaching at Pine Elementary for most of my career. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Purdue University. Go Boilers!  I'm married with 3 adult children.  I have 1 granddaughter who is the "Apple of my eye."  I also have a dog named Gizmo, due to the fact that he looked like a Gremlin when he was a puppy.
