Members of the Krueger Student Council stuffed bags with some much-needed school supplies for every student on Thursday, April 19. The supplies included folders, highlighters, colored pencils, erasers, and much more! According to Principal Martha Birkholz, the supplies will be distributed to students for a "pre-ISTEP" boost. (The final ISTEP+ testing of the school year will be conducted April 30-May 9.)

 

The materials were provided by the Citywide Back to School Rally Committee and Indiana Black Expo, made possible by a grant from the Michigan City Enrichment Corporation. "The Rally Committee used some remaining grant funds to replenish supplies," said Pat Harris, Rally Committee Chair. "We know that as the school year unfolds, students often run low on what they need. We hope this will help Krueger students do their best during the final grading period!"
