Community Groups Take Challenge, Do Their Homework...
Barker Middle School once again challenged Elementary Schools and Community Groups to a STEM Challenge. The 2nd annual STEM Community Challenge "Water Bottle Rockets" was held Friday, May 6th on the field out back on a gorgeous day. The "Water Bottle Rocket" Challenge is becoming Barker's STEM Challenge Finale for each school year. Barker Homeroom Teams and Elementary Challengers all participated in Preliminary Rounds in late April and early May to advance to the Finale against four Community Groups: KTR Corporation, Michigan City Police Department, NIPSCO, and US Steel.
