Student Council at Springfield Elementary School is made up of students in grades 2-5. Each classroom elects two representatives to serve on the council, which is led by Mrs. Kristin Smith. Student council members meet at least once a month to complete various services learning projects. Students practice in activities such as making animal treats for the animal shelter, dinner for the Sandcastle homeless shelter, and crafts for local nursing homes.

Student also have monthly spirits days to raise money for Riley's Children's Hospital and participate in fundraisers for organizations such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The members also work each spring to clean up the school grounds.
