Marsh Elementary School Counselor
Welcome to the Counselor's Corner at Marsh Elementary School.
I am Pam Sassaman, Marsh School Counselor. As a school counselor I work with students, staff and families. I provide Guidance lessons that address our standards in the areas of academic, career and citizenship development.
Students learn Life Skills, such as: responsibility, curiosity, caring and effort that they use in their lifetime. In the classrooms we practice resolving conflicts peacefully, identifying and managing our own feelings and making positive choices. We discuss handling bullies, trying to do our best each day and what kind of job or career one might want when they grow up.
I am also very involved in supporting our student's academic success through Marsh Schools RtI (Response to Instruction) team. Teachers and assistants teach specific programs and activities for support students needs.

M.S. in Guidance and Counseling from Southwest Missouri State University
M.S. in Elementary Education/Early Childhood from Indiana University-Bloomington
B.S. in Art Education from Indiana University-Bloomington
