My name is Kim Rosenbaum.I have two boys and three grandaughters,who all live in northwest Indiana.
I went to Ivy Tech Community College in Valparaiso, Indiana. I have a technical Certificate in Welding Technology. I also have an Associate of Applied Science degree. I received the Chancellor Award and graduated with Honors with a grade point average of 3.89, and key address speaker for our graduating class.
I have a structural certification in Shielded Metal Arc, Metal Inert Gas, and Pipe Tungsten Inert Gas.
I have worked in a machine shop as a Welder/Fabricator. I have also worked at Ivy Tech Community College as a Welding Instructor teaching secondary and post secondary students. I am currently teaching at A.K. Smith Career Center in Michigan City, Indiana. I also do in house training for Dekker Vaccum Technology, Adult Education Plus, Evening Welding classes and a Purdue University class.
Outside of work I enjoy physical fitness, am a volunteer for Relay for Life (cancer awareness), and Strides ( breast cancer awareness). I have also ran up the Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois to raise money for cancer research .I have also started on a bucket list for myself. I have done a 1 mile race, a Mud-a-thon ( 3 mile obstacle course ), and a 15 mile night bike ride.
