The Michigan City High School German Club supports several activities during the school year. German Club raises funds for its activities each year by selling several typical German items: German and Belgian Chocolate, Lolli Pops, Gummi Bären (gummy bears), and Advent Calendars.
German Club will also be taking place in the yearly, German-themed Christkindelmarkt, a Christmas market, on Chicago's Daley Plaza.
In March the MCHS German Club participates in the Fasching-Conference at Ball State. The conference is for German students and is sponsored by the Indiana Association of Students of German. Fasching is a type of carnival celebrated by people all throughout Germany.
The German Club competes in academic and cultural competitions every year. In the evening they attend a German- style dance, or the Faschingstanz.
